Remote Worker

Role: Finance Business Partner (Capital & Treasury)

Location: Fully remote

Type: 4-6 months Finance Business Partner (Capital & Treasury) required to join a fast paced organisation. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has excellent time management skills and has previous experience of finance business partnering and capital accounting. As the Finance Business Partner, you will be reporting directly to and working very closely with the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting. As a Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for: Supporting business planning and produce long term finance plans, providing senior managers with high level advice

Providing specialist advice on the financial implications of organisation change

Working as a key partner to directorates, providing business insights to drive transformation in finance management practices and identify the relevant finance requirements and issues

Producing and presenting financial reports (revenue, capital and reserves) to Committees, CMT, and other similar bodies and provide financial implications, in discussion with others where necessary, in all relevant reports

Ensuring the production of financial reports and analysis sufficient to complete statement of accounts in accordance with required practise

Providing effective financial advice to support the decision making process by undertaking financial analysis and modelling of proposals

Analysing and interpreting directorates’ finance metrics, drawing out and effectively communicating insights from data and using these as a tool for informing decision making

Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner: Fully qualified CCAB Accountant or equivalent, or fully qualified AAT and prepared to study and complete a CCAB or equivalent qualification within 3 years

Wide knowledge and understanding of Local Government finance, with a good understanding of accounting standards and codes of practice

An understanding of the business partner model.
