The Finance Associate will be responsible for ensuring financial administration activities for FYF. The Finance Associate will also help to ensure accuracy on financial documentation, in coordination with other members of the finance team, management of finance controls, and contribute to reporting and auditing. We are looking for an individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of religious minority members recovering from severe persecution, and someone who believes in the importance and value of civil society organizations, and the value of trauma treatment, justice and accountability, and critically, in women’s rights. The Finance Associate will be accountable to the Director of Finance and Operations. (S)he will be expected to work remotely.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform several functions:  Day to day financial administration for FYF USA and NL  Consolidation and initial review of financial documentation from field location  Proactive management of financial controls including taking appropriate measures in ensure accurate financial administration  Support in development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting  Assist in the development of donor reporting and budgets  Assist in internal and external audit work  Ensure that processes are compliant with GAAP and regulatory requirements

Qualifications  A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, development finance, or related field is a distinct advantage. Master’s degree and/or accounting designation preferred.  Three to five years of finance administration experience in development or humanitarian programs.  Advance skills in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of QBO accounting software.  A genuine commitment to living and working at the community level, improving the lives of members of a persecuted religious minority, and ability to devote considerable energy and dedication to the financial elements of a humanitarian aid program.  A good understanding of overall project cycle management. This should include a good understanding of working with donor guidelines and following up on program compliance.  Proven capabilities in integrity and strong attention to detail are required, with the ability to work independently and with a diverse team, communicate effectively with individuals from a variety of background, and contribute to overall team capacity building.  Fluency in English and the ability to write documents, reports, and ability to present information in English is essential. Base of Operations Remote Start Date ASAP Daily Routine The Finance Associate will be overseen by the Director of Finance and Operations. (S)he will be expected to work from 8am to 4pm EST or 9am to 5pm EST Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be given to work a mix of EST and AST working hours.
