Reports to: Finance Manager

Job Type: Full–time

Location: Gaziantep – Türkiye

Duration: 6 Months (with the possibility of extension)

Maram Foundation for Relief and Development is a non-profit organization registered in Turkey. Maram has been dedicated to providing assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) since the beginning of the Syrian Crisis in 2011. At present, a highly skilled, committed team of more than 250 people shape the organization’s structure; overseeing the provision of relief and sustainable development. Maram’s first initiative was the establishment of the first and – with a population of more than 28,000 – the largest IDP Camp in Northern Syria in 2012.

We are looking for an energetic, fresh graduate, and enthusiastic person to join our team in Gaziantep as Finance Assistant.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices and expenses claims received, code items to agreed budgets, and action payments.
  2. Reconcile transactions on computer and bank statements and ensure that all accounts balance.
  3. Maintain proper records for all the above on computer book keeping package and filing of all relevant paperwork.
  4. Ensure monthly document scans are done with all backup paperwork and full signatures; Daily bookkeeping, including documentation and processing of payment vouchers;
  5. Keep office documentation and filing systems up to date.
  6. Maintain an electronic filing / archiving system of Requests for Payment, and any Claims of expenses processed on a timely basis; properly label files and arrange in a systematic order for ease of retrieval.
  7. Performs other related tasks and duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Economics.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience in Finance position.
  3. Good Knowledge of: budget control, cash-flow, B.V.A., spending plan.
  4. Computer literate with good MS Office skills in Outlook and OneDrive.
  5. Advance level in Excel.
  6. Good experience with accounting software specially QuickBooks Online.
  7. Analytical skills and good attention to details.
  8. Ability to communicate in English (Writing and Speaking) is essential.
  9. Experience in humanitarian field is a plus.
  10. Fluency in Arabic, Turkish, and English.
