AAR Japan was founded in 1979 by Yukika SOHMA, our first chairperson, with a mission to help refugees from Indochina, and as a civil organization without any political, religious, or ideological affiliations. It has since then grown into an international organization approved and registered by the United Nations.

Job Responsibilities

HR:
• Responsible for the day to day running of the office HR tasks.
• Ensure that all staff abide by AAR Japan work and ethics policies;
• Support the Head Of Office and line managers in HR issues and provides technical advice in line with the AAR HR policies & Manual;
• Maintain the HR Department’s filing system and ensure that all personnel files are up to date and complete
• Provide support to line managers on the recruitment process, including the drafting of the JD and Employee Request Form (ERF) in line with AAR Recruitment policy.
• Conduct HR orientation for all new staff in the office
• Ensure all staff have up to date contracts.
Finance:
• Daily bookkeeping, including documentation and processing of payment vouchers with AAR Japan and donors requirements.
• Following petty cash balances with procedures and making bank transfer process
• Draft financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis and reporting to HoO and Finance Manager
• Assist in maintaining a sound financial management of AAR Japan’s mission and in budgeting project activities;
• Liaison with various stakeholders, including governmental authorities relating to finance;
• Supporting head of office with all activity related to budget management when needed.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor degree with the related studies
At least 3 years professional experience in a relevant area of work
At least 1 year accounting work including calculating tax and social security fee according to Moldovan relevant law
Ability to use a computer and Microsoft office software, especially maintaining basic formula and functions
Full proficiency in English and Romanian, Russian is an asset
Experience/ability to write/review clear reports with very few mistakes
Ability to communication in a positive and diplomatic way.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Willingness to travel and work in difficult environment
