SCOPE OF WORK
The Finance and Accounting Senior Officer, reporting to the Finance and Accounting Lead, will be responsible for assisting in the financial and accounting operations in The White Helmets. This role includes tasks related to budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
Budget Support:
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and management of the annual budget and project budgets.
- Provide support for budget variance analysis on monthly basis.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of all types of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Generate financial reports for management and funding agencies as required.
Audit Support:
- Prepare supporting documents and schedules for annual financial audits and project related audits.
- Assist in implementing audit recommendations and addressing any compliance issues.
Financial Analysis:
- Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies.
Qualification
Essential:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting.
- Fluency in English.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of not-for-profit financial practices.
- Fluency in French and Arabic.
