HNI Corporation, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing, is in search of a Finance/Cost Analyst to join their Furniture Operations team of HON and Allsteel in Muscatine, Iowa! As a Finance/Cost Analyst, you will focus on item costs and pricing with an emphasis on analyzing invoicing, supporting the materials finance group, and coordinating with strategic procurement. This role is a great opportunity if you are interested in an entry-level role that will enable you to learn and develop into more complex positions in Finance and Accounting!

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a zest for learning, possess analytical capabilities and be proficient with Excel, the primary program you will be utilizing. You will also need to have strong communication skills, be able to collaborate across multiple groups, and function effectively in a fast-paced, often deadline-driven environment. Some Of The Essential Aspects Of The Position Include

  • Take active role in weekly, monthly & annual cost reviews
  • In charge of the costing process & development of standard work
    • Create improvements focused on streamline process, improving accuracy or enhancing costing tools and analytics
  • Determine & maintain pricing holds
    • Develop effective tools/analytics to timely report and address pricing discrepancies
  • Coordinate Price Index Reviews and Updates
    • Timely update to limit pricing discrepancies
    • Process master data (ICM) item cost update requests
    • Update/clear supplier pricing holds
    • Prepare costing reports
    • Validate/refine standard work for centralized pricing processes

    What It Takes

    • Associate’s Degree required in accounting, finance or related field
    • Experience in Oracle and Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
    • Possess strong analytic & communication skills
    • Manufacturing environment background preferred
