Overall Job Purpose

As part of board, The Finance Administrator will strategically support ITF’s financial management system.

Responsibilities :

• As a member of the board, participate in board meetings and contribute to the overall development of ITF.

• Evaluate and review ITF’s accounting systems to provide regular feedback and ensure relevance.

• Support in analyzing and interpreting financial data and recommending changes to ITF’s financial performance.

• Give advice on tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork and reports (month and year end financial reporting) as needed.

• Offer technical advice on budget(s) preparation

• Advise on the development and documentation of organizational/ business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Coach and mentor the financial team through capacity building programme and any other way deemed necessary

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance or Business Administration – Masters is an added advantage

• Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in: Auditing, Accounting and Finance

• Proven experience in developing and managing large and complex budgets

• Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and propose appropriate solutions

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to think independently and work collaboratively

• Sufficient time to devote and volunteer as a member of the Board

• Must be between 25 – 35 years of age.
