Tearfund UK in Mozambique is looking for an experienced Finance & Admin Officer.

To provide financial, personnel and overall administrative support to the Mozambique office and to work closely with the Finance Manager based in Maputo to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in accordance to Tearfund’s financial and HR procedures, its Christian distinctiveness, code of conduct and the Mozambique legal framework within which the Mozambique programme operational area. They will support the country team staff at the programme head office plus at project sites with the responsibility for supporting in, setting up and implementing a coordinated logistics, administrative and financial function in support of the programme. In accordance with Tearfund policies and guidelines, to support a system of internal controls in order to safeguard Tearfund assets, mitigate against the risk of financial loss and fraud and satisfy donor and statutory audit requirements.

Tearfund is a UK based, Christian INGO working in 50 countries around the world, to lift people out of poverty, using local partners and churches wherever possible.

Do you have experience of:

  • At least 2 years relevant working experience preferably in an INGO
  • Strong understanding of administration, logistics and HR functions
  • Payroll administration
  • Proven experience in administration/ office management
  • Stock movement tracking and control
  • Ability to review internal control systems and make recommendations
  • Proven experience in Influencing best practice
