AL541: Field Service Engineer Location: Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield (Based from home) Salary: £32,500 + Overtime + Benefits + Scope for promotion. Benefits: Company vehicle, pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays, expense allowance, mobile phone, laptop and all tools supplied. Hours: The role is based on a standard 35 hour week. Overtime is as required to meet business needs. You will be required to participate in an out of hours emergency call-out system on a rota basis. You will receive an additional payment when on call. Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking Service Engineers on behalf of one of our clients. Working for a critical power company responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities: Install and commission critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment. Maintain and service critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment. Provide technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels. Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected are understood and met. Ensure that follow-up work requirements are referred back to the appropriate staff to enable necessary action and recommendations to clients. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the company. Observe and obey all company rules and regulations, comply with all site regulations, and safeguard company property. Complete all necessary Company documentation punctually and in accordance with any guidelines or schedules issued (including Time Sheets, Staff Expense Claims, site reports, etc.). Attend all training courses and meetings as required. Provide support and co-operation to the management and to colleagues and be prepared and willing to help and contribute to the success of the company at all times. Observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment. Skills and Qualifications: If the candidate is from an electrical installation background, they should hold a minimum of: City & Guilds 2330 or 2360 in Electrotechnical Engineering Studies. NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical based subject

  • NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation
  • Buildings & Structures) or the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment). If the candidate is from an electronics background, they should hold a minimum of: HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. For those trained formally with the military then they should hold a specific gold standard skills card: Royal School of Military Engineering ECS Card
  • RSME Installation Electrician ECS Gold Card. Qualifications undertaken through the Royal Engineers for electrotechnical studies and practice culminate in the awarding of Level 3 or Level 4 Diplomas in Electrotechnical Studies and Practice (Military Engineering) plus the BS 7671:2018 and the AM2 end point assessment are required. At least 2 years’ experience in a commercial technical environment. Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment. Have full UK driving licence. A good understanding of Health and Safety at work. Able to work on own supervision as well as in a team. Computer literate and experience with MS Office.
