FHI 360/Philippines (www.fhi360.org) is looking for Field Implementation Coordinator for Pasig City for our Better Health Program (BHP) under a short-term work engagement.

Background:

The Better Health Programme is a 3.5-year project (2019-2022) funded by the UK Government’s Prosperity Programme. The programme aims to reduce NCD burden in the Philippines and improve access to safe, quality care using equitable, ethical, and sustainable approaches. The programme will accomplish this through the implementation of a set of activities in the following areas: 1) Strategies to Counter NCDs; 2) Digital Health initiatives; 3) Education and Training; 4) Provider Performance Improvement; and 5) Life Sciences initiatives.

Detailed Description of Tasks to be Performed:

This assignment will support the implementation of the Better Health Programme Philippines work packages. The Field Coordinator will facilitate implementation of project activities in Pasig City Local Government Unit.

The Field Coordinator will be expected to undertake the following tasks to achieve the required assignment outcomes:

  1. Work closely and liaise with the City Health Office to acquire data and other relevant information as needed by BHP

  2. Provide initial technical assessment on NCD implementation in the city

  3. Coordinate with relevant staff in the city health office

  4. Organize and schedule meetings and other activities between BHP Philippines and the City Health Office and/or other stakeholders

  5. Document issues and good practices encountered during the period of engagement

  6. Assist in the data gathering activities

  7. Follow up with the LGU and City Health Office relevant documents such as agreements, policy issuances, and official communications

  8. Submit report/s required by the Pillar Leads

Required Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Required Education/Job Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Health, Public Administration or in a related field
  • At least five years of relevant work experience in field and project coordination
  • Knowledge and experience in Health and NCD program development
  • Knowledge and experience in developing/facilitating operational and strategic plans
  • Previous work on government strategic and operational planning/Local Investment for Health, an advantage

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be from Pasig City, Philippines

Supervision and Reporting

  • The Field Coordinator will work closely with the BHP Philippines, specifically with the Pillar Leads. All communications will be coordinated to and by BHP Philippines.

Work Location/Assignment

  • Pasig City Health Office, Philippines

Target Engagement Period:

  • May 2, 2022 to October 2022
