Hill International is seeking a Field Electrical Technician in Los Angeles, California

Responsibilities

  • Prepares reports pertaining to the testing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
  • Installs power circuits and other electrical hardware for new PA installations.
  • Changes electrical circuits for UPS installations.
  • Installs and replaces conduits and raceway pathways to electrical wires and cables.
  • Installs cabinets or enclosures after work completion.
  • Removes old UPS systems.
  • Prepares job estimates and sketches of work required.
  • Order required materials for projects.
  • Reports results and prepares scope of work definitions for corrective action.
  • Documents anomalies and issues.
  • Monitors and provides advice regarding the current condition of the structures, measure and produce data to ensure compliance with accepted electrical codes.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the Covid-19 vaccination by date of hire. Medical or Religious exemptions will be considered. Proof of vaccination required.

Education

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

OR

  • Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience. Four of the ten years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.

OR

  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years full time paid professional electrical work experience.
  • Experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty, and staff.

Required Qualification

  • Journeyman Electrician Certification
