Background
SoCha is looking for two qualified individuals to fill the roles of Field Coordinators at our Yangon office. The Field Coordinator will report to the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor. The primary responsibility will be to coordinate all field visits using the project’s security/context monitoring systems to plan routes, contingency plans, and length of field operations.
Scope of Work
- Compile stakeholder call lists and conduct all courtesy and introductory calls prior to field team arrival.
- Interact with points of contact to compile humanitarian assistance contribution quantities, mark for identification, etc.
- Support development of data collection tools and facilitating training, as needed, for data collection subcontractors.
- Contribute to planning and monitoring of a detailed, high volume work plan for third-party monitoring activities, and ensure that field activities are coordinated effectively and efficiently in the delivery of high-quality deliverables.
- Directly responsible for the detailed planning of all key third-party monitoring work processes from pre-deployment through to data collection and field work to post-deployment and reporting.
- Monitoring of the third-party monitoring master workplan and workflow processes and problem-solving against constraints experienced in consultation with the Program Director, Safety and Security Analyst, and team.
- Propose appropriate third-party monitoring policies and implementation strategies, in addition to periodic updates in consultation with the team.
- Timely review and finalization of third-party monitoring deliverables and reports for submission to the client.
- Develop an analytic framework to identify trends, key findings, and lessons learned for each round of third-party monitoring activities.
- Develop and assist in the delivery of training in the field and in Yangon for third-party monitoring subcontractors, field supervisors, and report writers.
- Other duties as appropriate assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
- At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in third-party monitoring , data collection, and/or consultant supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical capabilities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with standard/office IT applications including program management software.
- Demonstrated previous involvement in research or monitoring and evaluation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and edit reports and technical documents.
- High level verbal and written communication skills in English and Burmese.
