Med’EqualiTeam (https://www.medequali.team/en/) is a non-profit French based association providing free medical care for displaced or vulnerable populations. We have worked before in Greece for asylum-seekers, then in Poland for refugees from Ukraine. With a commitment to a high-level quality of care, inclusivity and non-discrimination, and an operating mode with small teams, we are flexible and can adjust quickly to changes.

The project

Starting up a new medical project in Thessaloniki, Greece, in order to provide medical care to displaced populations, both living in the nearby camps and in a community center where undocument migrants rest during the day. The team will be small at first, 2 doctors and 1 medical coordinator, as well as translator.

The field coordinator ensures an efficient implementation and coordination of the project. She /he is the focal point for all actors, in link with the medical coordinator.

  • She/he is also responsible for all non-medical procedures (Admin, Finance & Logistics), as well as the volunteer coordination, and managing the daily schedule with the different working places.
  • Depending on the evolution of the project, another volunteer might be appointed to support one of these tasks, or some can be delegated to other persons. This position is supported by the Project Manager who will provide the formation for the different tasks and procedures.

As a key position, we ask for a minimum of 4 months commitment.

Required experience and skills

  • Fluency in English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with displaced or vulnerable people
  • Availability to reside in European Union without the need of a visa, we are unable to support with visa procedures.

Desired experience and skills

  • University degree in project management, admin or similar field
  • Knowledge of Greek is a plus
  • Projects related to emergency with NGO/INGO preferably in emergency context
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of personal organization and flexibility
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Proactive, hardworking and conscientious

Further information

We will be able to offer travel expenses, health insurance, stipend (500€/month to cover the living costs) and accommodation.
