About SENED

SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.

Job Responsibilities

The <> is under the line management of the He/She will be responsible for the following:

• Project Assistant will be responsible for assisting project coordinator in all project activities.
• He/she will engage directly with the project intended beneficiaries and stakeholders during the project implementation period.
• Prepare and finalize beneficiary list, collect and organize project documents along with tracking the progress of the project.
• He/She will ensure that deadlines are being met and everything remains on schedule.

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties

• Translate from Arabic to Turkish vice-versa when necessary.
• Translate from Arabic to English vice-versa when necessary.
• Immediate interact with target groups
• Provide relevant project information. Preparing updates on project relevant issues, eg. reporting, writing minutes of different meetings, overviews. Compile and disseminate relevant project information.
• Preparing project databases and developing templates.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):

Essential

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies
• Language: excellent level English and Turkish languages are essentially required and Arabic is an asset.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2-year professional experience in a similar position

Desirable

• Proven experience in humanitarian work and principles.
• Proven experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Willing to work with vulnerable groups including people with disabilities.
• Candidate should be Turkish citizen card holder

IT and Equipment

Good proficiency with Microsoft package.
