Based in Gaziantep with frequent visits to Adıymana, Hatay and Mersin. Duration: 6 months
with the possibility of extension based on funding.
In the aftermath of two devastating earthquakes in Southeastern Turkey, humanitarian needs remain dire in affected areas. As a remedial support to the most vulnerable communities affected by the earthquake, Solidar Suisse has provided funding for projects implemented by local partners in Southeast Turkey and Northwest Syria. The projects aim to cover Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), NFI and temporary shelter and rehabilitation needs in these districts.
Role overall Scope
The Field Administrator will be responsible for administration, HR, logistics, and ensure field teams are prepared to respond to emergencies and ensure the safety and security of the field staff and assets. The Field Administrator will also assist the Field Coordinator and Desk Officer in the program coordination and management follow-up.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Provide administrative assistance to field teams, including scheduling appointments, maintaining asset records, and organizing paperwork,
- Arrange travel arrangements, accommodation, transportation for field staff as required,
- Manage inventory of all assets, order supplies, and track resource allocation to ensure field personnel have the necessary tools and materials to perform their work effectively,
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations by conducting periodic inspections,
- Arrange or facilitate training programs or workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of field personnel, assisting them in achieving their job objectives effectively,
- Provide training and capacity building to implementing partners in collaboration with Field Coordinator,
- Monitor security and safety situation closely, collect and analyze data and share the security measurements based on findings with field team,
- Networking and building relationship with local organizations in collaboration with Field Coordinator,
- Perform other duties as required.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Administration, Social Work, Economy, Political Science or other related fields linked to humanitarian assistance.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar position in a humanitarian context is required.

- Excellent computer skills (MS office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint),
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Languages
- Fluency in English and Turkish/Arabic is mandatory,
- Fluency in Kurdish is a strong asset.
