About The Site

Westry is our Cambridgeshire based potato and onion packing facility.

There are a number of support roles on site with the majority of colleagues working within our operation.

About The Role

We are seeking a Machine Hygienist – (Nights) to join IPL to work at our Potato and Onion site in Westry.

You will work within a team to maintain the hygiene standards in all operational areas with the view to minimize the risk of product contamination from food contact surfaces/equipment.

Please note the shift pattern for this role is 4 on 4 off working 6pm – 6am.

The hourly pay rate is be £13.42 with the opportunity to earn up to £13.92 with bonus.

As Machine Hygienist you will be accountable for fulfilling the requirements and frequencies of schedule and be responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are maintained throughout the site. This will be done by carrying out routine deep cleaning of factory equipment as per the requirements set out by deep clean protocols.

Complying with a Hygiene Cleaning Schedule you will effectively communicate with all on site operational and engineering teams regarding any issues or concerns over any hygiene issues within shift.

This role will involve handling chemicals as per COSHH training and regulations and you will ensure that all training is adhered to and all required areas are controlled to meet BRC and COSHH standards.

Skills And Experience Required

• Food Safety L2, HACCP L2, 3A/3B Boom Lift license, Counterbalance License, COSHH training, Titration training
• Manual handling
• Emergency spillage response
• Willingness to take any training required for this role and work flexibly
• Experience in deep cleaning including equipment disassembly
• Well-organised and able to work under the pressure with keen eye for detail
