Safety-Kleen Canada, a Clean Harbors Co. has an immediate opening for a Facility Technician II in our Brampton, ON facility. This position performs hands on operations such as drum pumping, tank farm operations and offloading trucks.

Please note: Afternoon Shift 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Operates oil filter crusher machine;
  • Prepares bulk wastes for shipment to other Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors and/or 3rd party locations;
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements;
  • Operates a forklift when necessary, responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating;
  • Completes daily/weekly facility inspections as required;
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;
  • Inventory and ensure warehouse, loading and unloading areas are cleaned and organized at all times.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset;
  • Hazardous materials work experience preferred;
  • Forklift experience considered an asset;
  • Valid G License required;
  • Dependable and detail-oriented;
  • Strong Customer service skills required;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis;
  • Willing to train the right candidate.
