Our 225+ Facility Managers located throughout the world keep U.S. Embassies and Consulates maintained and fully operational. Foreign Service Facility Managers are the professional facilities, technical, and operations experts at U.S. diplomatic missions and they support OBO’s mission to provide safe, secure, functional, and resilient facilities abroad.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of Specialized Experience OR a Master’s Degree with 2 years of Specialized Experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management or Facilities Engineering with no experience (please refer to the vacancy announcement for a description of specialized experience. Experience may not be substituted for education.)

Applicants must be U.S. citizens. By law, all career candidates must be appointed to the Foreign Service prior to the month in which they reach age 60, except for preference-eligible veterans. Applicants must also be available for worldwide service and be able to obtain all required security, medical, and suitability clearances.
