About the Work:
People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental, non-profit organization based on the ideas of humanism, freedom, equality and solidarity. We consider human dignity and freedom to be the basic values. We believe that people anywhere in the world should have a right to make decisions about their lives and to share the rights expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We have been providing aid in troubled regions and supporting respect for human rights since 1992. Over the past 25 years, we have grown into one of the largest NGOs in Central Europe. We focus on humanitarian aid, development cooperation, human rights and social integration programmes.
People in Need is looking for self-motivated and experienced education facilitators for an educational project that will be implemented Ninawa.
The education volunteers will work daily with the children to provide educational and recreational activities in the community and will be supervised by the teachers who will visit the school and the community regularly.
Workplace:
Primary, secondary and high schools in Telafar or Sinjar
Duration of employment contract:
To be determined later, based on a specific schedule.
Main tasks of the project:
- Implementing educational, recreational, psychosocial activities with children in schools / temporary locations
- Assisting in the registration of children for activities
- Monitoring attendance of activities and providing weekly lists to education personnel
- Supporting the distribution of educational materials and materials to learners and teachers, if there are any
- Maintenance of educational supplies and equipment after each activity
- Participating in all necessary training courses
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Qualifications:
• University degree or secondary education diploma
• Ability to work effectively with children
• Available to work according to the schedule of activities
• Have good communication skills, high degree of organization, and detailing in a responsible and reliable manner.
• A good understanding of community participation and the ability to communicate, influence and show respect.
