GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The Facilitator is responsible for designing, organizing, and facilitating the capitalization of remote management best practices related to MSF working with partners in Syria mission.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

This work is proposed to be done following four stages:

  • Reviewing previous capitalization works done in the past.
  • Designing, planning, and organizing interviews with MSF and non-MSF key persons about their experiences related to MSF collaboration with partners in Syria mission.
  • Designing, planning, and organizing a two days’ workshop to involve the participants in interactive sessions, discussions, and activities to enhance collaboration, communication, and mutual understanding around MSF working with partners.
  • Gathering the outcome from the review of available material, the interviews and the workshop in a report focusing on Best Practices and Recommendations to be evaluated for possible implementation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Reviewing previous capitalization works:

  • Gather and read previous capitalization works or existing documents related to working in remote via partners for Syria mission (OCBA, OCB, others).
  • Read the available material related to MSF working remotely based on the experience of different missions.

2.Interviews Design and Planning:

  • Design the guidance, the method, and the content of the interviews.
  • identify the list of key persons to be interviewed.
  • Plan the interviews; presential or online according to availabilities. Make sure the person to be interviewed receive clear briefing and understand the objective from the interview.
  • Use the main findings to define the workshop content.

3.Workshop Design and Planning:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define workshop objectives, agenda, and desired outcomes.
  • Identify the target audience.
  • Design and lead interactive and engaging workshop sessions with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, creating a positive, interactive and inclusive atmosphere tailored to the preidentified needs and goals.
  • Select appropriate methodologies, tools, and resources to facilitate learning, brainstorming, and problem-solving.
  • Share relevant insights, and case studies to inspire and inform participants about partnership experiences. Lead the debates and ensure practical and tangible outcomes/best practices are drawn upon during the workshop.

4Reporting:

  • Elaborate a concise & praxis-relevant manual BEST PRACTICES OF WORKING WITH PARTNERS IN SYRIA MISSION. Gathered recommendations from interviews and the workshop are also to be reflected.
  • Put together, from the documentation gathered and analyzed in the process, a toolkit constituting of the main documents and lessons learned/pitfalls to avoid being considered as “standard” while working with partners (MoU, HR tools, Reporting template, etc.).

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as organizational development, adult education, communication, or business administration (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience with MSF managing operations in collaboration with partners (in remote setups).
  • Knowledge of partnership best practices, principles of effective communication, and facilitation techniques for interactive learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and foster collaboration in group settings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute workshops effectively within tight timelines.
  • Ideally: Proficiency in using various workshop facilitation tools, technologies, and multimedia resources to enhance participant engagement and learning outcomes.–>the design & execution of the workshop can be supported by the TPSU
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the evolving needs and dynamics of workshop participants, adjusting facilitation strategies as needed to maximize impact.
  • Languages: English is mandatory (mission language) and Arabic desirable.

CONDITIONS

  • Home-based position or based in Amman with at least 1 visit to Amman.
  • Salary: IRFFG L13 and according to MSF Rewards Policy.
  • Full time position.
  • Duration of contract: 3 months.
  • Starting date: 1st September 2024
