The Opportunity
EY is at the forefront of current trends in Sustainable Finance and we engage with clients at all levels to provide insights and support with these developments. Our risk team brings together a broad range of professionals including risk practitioners, regulatory specialists and modellers, and works closely with other EY teams such as our Climate Change and Sustainability Services team that supports non-financial services sectors, as well as our Assurance, Strategy and our Technology Consulting teams, to deliver innovative end-to-end solutions.
We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds and experience in the fields of risk management, climate change and sustainable finance, and are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of climate risk, climate risk management, climate risk modelling, ESG regulation as it impacts financial services or particular industry sectors, industry challenges, existing resources and initiatives.

As part of our team, you willHave the opportunity to work with many of the world’s leading banks and insurance companies, and to leverage the deep knowledge and wide-ranging skills and experience of your EY colleagues.
Be involved in activities such as
developing Sustainable Finance and climate strategies
climate risk modelling, management and target setting in line with regulatory requirements and market developments
designing Investment strategies and portfolio alignment to the Paris agreement
reporting and disclosures (e.g. TCFD)
Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
Work effectively as a team member in close collaboration with senior colleagues
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients while building strong internal relationships within the consulting practice and across other service lines
What You Should Bring To The Table
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
Strong academic background, a quantitative background is an advantage
Knowledge of financial and/or non-financial risk management and modelling
Experience in climate risk and knowledge of financial services is an advantage
Confident and credible communication skills displaying both technical knowledge and commercial understanding
Project management and excellent report writing skills
Experience in stakeholder and client management is an advantage
Ability to drive business development and contribute to the growth of the EY market solutions
Fluent in German and English
