Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an export attorney with primary experience in the export controls/economic sanctions sub-practice space and secondary experience working on import compliance/enforcement and/or trade remedy matters. The candidate should preferably have prior experience working with the EAR, ITAR, FTR, and OFAC regulations. This experience should include advising U.S. and non-U.S. companies on commodity jurisdiction, ECCN classification, prohibition, and sanction screening, licensing, PGA requirement, antiboycott, Schedule B classification, voluntary self-disclosure, investigation, audit, enforcement, CTPAT, compliance program development, and export-related M&A due diligence issues. Experience handling a variety of matters at any given time is necessary. Foreign language skills are a plus. Must be an active member, in good standing, of a State Bar Association.Additional Skills: The candidate should preferably have strong academic credentials, effective interpersonal skills, sound judgment, excellent oral and written communication capabilities, good organization/project management skills, and a robust work ethic. The ability to self-supervise is key in this position. Must have a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
