The position is to be filled as of January 1, 2024, with an initial contract duration until June 30, 2025. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

As Expert Food Security Standard (FSS), you will contribute to the intensification and expansion of FSS partnerships with stakeholders from business, science, politics and non-governmental organizations and help companies meet their social responsibility towards the cultivation of agricultural export products in the global south. Together with the FSS team, you will support companies and sustainability standards in implementing the FSS. In cooperation with internal and external partners, you will contribute to the further development of the FSS.

Your responsibilities

  • Conceptual planning and implementation of a strategy to attract and maintain (corporate) partners along the entire agricultural value chain
  • Project management of high demands on internal and external communication and sensitive coordination processes in the context of corporate partnerships
  • Support in the application of the FSS by sustainability standards and certification bodies
  • Planning, organization and implementation of project measures, also in partner countries
  • Project-related resource planning
  • Independent maintenance and further development of FSS publications and the FSS advertising presence (content, texts, design, tools)
  • Briefing, controlling and monitoring of agencies and contractors
  • Conception and implementation of (international) events
  • Creation, maintenance and publication of FSS system documents
  • Acquisition of third-party funds

Your profile

  • A relevant university or college degree
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of public relations
  • Experience in the coordination and implementation of multi-actor projects
  • Good understanding of corporate due diligence responsibilities
  • Proven track record in event management
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of structural and organizational skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English and German; French language skills would be an asset
