GO! Southampton is seeking a new Executive Director to deliver our vision for a successful and prosperous city centre.
Over 90% of local businesses recently voted in favour of renewing the Business Improvement District at the end of its first five year term. Following this emphatic vote of support, we are looking for someone to lead our ambitious organisation with a strong and coordinated business voice for the city.
Following our highly successful first term and with an enlarged BID area giving an annual levy income of circa £1.2M, Southampton is on the cusp of a renaissance. The recently-submitted bid to be UK City of Culture 2025 and a likely announcement that the city will be part of one of the proposed new UK freeports, the city is really getting moving.
To capitalise on these opportunities, GO! Southampton needs a leader with broad commercial experience, operational know-how, and the ability to work with partners across the public and private sector to leverage the support and expertise required to deliver positive change for this extraordinary city.
