Müslüman Eller Derneği (Muslim Hands Turkey) is a relief and development non-government organization established in 2019. In partnership with Muslim Hands International, a group with 27 members around the globe and the experience of more than 29 years, Müslüman Eller Derneği strives to work for the betterment of humanity regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. Müslüman Eller Derneği aims to mobilize resources and provide a platform to International NGOs and donors, by engaging trustworthy Turkish organizations at both local and governmental level, focusing on the intervention areas of Education, WASH, Health, Emergency, Food Security and Livelihood. Our objective is an impartial, efficient, and wholly transparent process that ensures that donations and aid reach the marginalized groups and people that really need them.

Job Description:
Muslim Hands Turkey office is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the organization’s legal and administrative activities in Turkey. The Executive Assistant will report to the Senior Management Team and will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of beneficiaries and staff, as well as supporting the organization’s engagement with stakeholders and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the CD’s behalf.
- Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing venues when necessary.
- Write board decisions in the Decision/Decree book, keep it updated and inform relevant authorities. Contact trustees for signature.
- Works with the SMT to proactively mitigate financial and legal risks to the organization and its board members.
- Assist with the development of policies (both local and international) in line with the local laws.
- Ensures that activities and policies meet board decisions and directions as well as legislative requirements in Turkey and in the countries in which MH operates.
- Coordinate organization of board and supervisory committee meetings, including preparation and dissemination of background documents.
- Keep in regular touch with the legal advisor and local charity commission and translate the documents into English.
- Engage with partners for Due Diligence process/documentation and signing of MoUs.
- Prepare and submit the required documents to the relevant authorities after each trustees’ meeting.
- Develop and implement a safeguarding policy and procedures for the organization’s programs in Turkey, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
- Provide training and capacity building support to staff and partners on safeguarding principles and practices, including the reporting and management of safeguarding concerns.
- Ensure the timely and effective management of safeguarding concerns, including the investigation and resolution of allegations of abuse and misconduct.
Qualifications:
- Turkish National
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human rights, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in administrative and legal tasks, preferably in an NGO or international development context.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices, including child protection, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, and protection of vulnerable adults.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within Turkey as needed.
