Job Title: Events Manager, Events Planning and Delivery

Region: London or Homebased

Directorate: Fundraising

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £30,600 to £32,000 per annum (including London Weighting if applicable)

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for leading on the planning and delivery of a range of fundraising events.

If successful, the main duties of your role will be:

  • To manage the event planning and delivery expenditure budget supporting delivery of mass events targets and objectives, prepare monthly and quarterly reports and lead budgeting process.
  • To lead the planning, project management and logistical delivery of a range of fundraising events in the UK and overseas in accordance with strategies and plans to meet KPI’s and generate insight.
  • To Produce and manage project plans relating to the planning and delivery of events in line with wider departmental plans.
  • To lead on the delivery of our owned events to include course design, venue liaison in the UK and continental Europe, management of road closures, health and safety, organisation of commemorative ceremonies and events, booking and management of travel, hotel liaison. To carry out detailed evaluations on event planning and delivery with recommendations for the future and present these findings to senior management.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of delivering marketing strategies and supporter journeys. Significant direct marketing technical experience and skills are essential, consisting of both offline and online communications. Experience of leading, managing, motivating and inspiring a team with a focus on delivering performance excellence is also essential. Knowledge of In Memory products is ideal but not essential. Experience of planning and organising events would also be ideal but not essential.

This role will involve hybrid working, travelling on some days each week to our Head Office in Borough, London SE1 1AA, and working from home on other days.
