Internship allowance: If hired in London 2’270 GBP/month, if hired in Geneva 4’216 CHF/month.

About The Job
Are you ready to gain hands-on experience and make an impact in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization? Join us as an Events intern at Better Cotton and help our team organise multiple annual events, including the flagship multi-day international conference. You will play an active role helping with preparatory activities leading up to the Better Cotton events.
There is a great deal of planning and preparation required for each event, with many sessions, speakers and meetings covering a variety of exciting topics. This is an excellent opportunity for any intern aspiring for a career in the sustainability sector to build their skills and experience in event planning and coordination as well as in working in a fast-paced global multicultural not-for-profit.
This role would report to the Global Events Manager, based in Geneva.
Areas that play to your strengths
Role
We are seeking a motivated Intern to join our Events team. In this role, you will be expected to perform following tasks but not limited to:
- Drafting event materials such as conference templates and session guides
- Support in procurement (TORs) and liaising with service providers
- Conducting research on flight prices and establishing pricing limits.
- Assembling agendas with activities such as gathering of speaker photos and bios
- Operational tasks related to email campaigns and other communications activities
- Organising data and mailing lists
- Scheduling and multimedia support required for meetings
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- University degree, or equivalent higher education qualification, in a relevant field.
- Language proficiency in English is must (additional languages beneficial)
- Previous similar work experience is desirable.
- To succeed the candidate must have excellent communication skills, good with people, organised and proficient in using MS Office, Teams, Zoom etc.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Good and versatile communication skills.
- Team player, and service oriented.

Working arrangements
The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and will be based either in London or Geneva. Better Cotton offers flexible working, with core hours being 10 am – 4 pm.
