As an Event Manager at Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley, you will have the opportunity to design, plan, and execute engaging and impactful events that bring together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders from around the world.

Tasks

  • Event management: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of various events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, speaker opportunities and networking events. Take ownership of spotting opportunities for new event formats and then develop these formats into execution.
  • Strategic thinking: Develop event strategies aligning with the organisation’s goals and objectives, ensuring each event contributes to our mission of strengthening Switzerland as a food nation to pioneer future-proof food systems collaboratively.
  • Budget management: Manage event budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, speakers, and attendees to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Marketing communications: Collaborate with the team to promote events through various channels and maximise attendance.
  • Marketing tools and merchandise: Ideate and execute innovative concepts and solutions.
  • Logistics coordination: Handle logistics such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and onsite management. Post-event evaluation: Conduct post-event analysis to assess each event’s success and identify improvement areas

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a related role.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align events with organisational goals.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the food and nutrition industry is a plus.
