Due to promotion, a high-profile, Royal Charitable Foundation is looking for an experienced Event Manager, who can help deliver exceptional international events to attract and maintain key stakeholders and increase awareness of its work.

We’re looking for a strategic, diligent, creative thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills to join a small, supportive, collaborative events team and build on the strong foundations already in place.

Event Manager – Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Events Manager with the delivery of fundraising events, and either lead or contribute to the implementation of:
  • Virtual Award Ceremonies
  • Webinars and workshops
  • Online seminars
  • International Special Projects Dinner
  • Plan and manage budgets for each event; lead planning meetings with all stakeholders, assign tasks and direct the staff team to ensure running to schedule.
  • Venue and supplier research; execution of look and feel of the event; event brief; regular updates; risk analysis; running order; entertainment etc.
  • Promote delegate sales and sponsorship where appropriate and liaise with other teams to ensure events are promoted through suitable materials and online.
  • Support and/or manage associated events such as Royal representative visits.

Event Manager – Requirements

  • Experience of delivering hybrid and virtual events, working with senior stakeholders and high-profile individuals
  • Experience of producing and editing event material for a range of audiences
  • Understanding of events management as a fundraising tool and practical adaptations to
  • revenues
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality, protocols and procedures
  • Database and related project-management software skills
  • Decision-making, problem solving and conflict management
  • Skilled in negotiation; relationship-management and budget and resource management
