Hours per week: 35 (full time)

Location: Skylight Merseyside, 96 Kent Street, Liverpool L1 5BD with up to two days working from home in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

Crisis Skylight Merseyside is currently offering unique, engaging projects and opportunities, as well as essential support for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. These services are available at our Merseyside office and through various outreach programs across the Liverpool City Region. We are at a thrilling juncture at Crisis Skylight Merseyside with the roll-out of our ambitious 10-year strategy. This strategy includes the creation of Crisis Centres aimed at permanently eradicating homelessness.

About the role

As an Events Coordinator, you will focus on managing key events and social media engagement. Responsibilities include organising a range of events, notably the sector leading Crisis at Christmas initiative, and supporting the Volunteer and Member Involvement Lead. Your role will be instrumental in enhancing community engagement and contributing to our goal of ending homelessness. We offer a collaborative environment where your professional skills will have a direct impact on our community-focused mission.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need proficiency in developing and coordinating impactful projects and events, strong skills in client service, customer care, and volunteer management, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Your organisational skills and effective communication are essential for seamless event execution. Additionally, you should be adept at managing risks and conflicts with dignity and compassion, have a solid understanding of budgeting, and be committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, in line with Crisis’ values.

You may have experience in Event Management, Project Coordination, Social Media Specialist, Volunteer Coordinator, Community Engagement Officer, Customer Care Specialist, Communications Officer.
