Job Summary
Support International teams (Donor Relations, Strategy, Research, Admin, and Logistics) in tasks related to data storage, data merging, processing for the purposes of analytics and management, and maintenance of data lakes and data warehouses.
Typical Day
ETL specialist will focus on managing current, and creating new data pipelines needed for creating dashboards, and analytics. It also may mean cleaning, and maintaining databases.
Job Requirements
- 2 – 4 year computer science graduate with experience working in data
- Experience with 2 languages and excel
- Desire to learn, and teachable
- Very detail oriented and able to see mistakes and errors in data and templates and suggest improvements.
- Understand how data is collected and maintain key tenants (duplicates, quality, etc.) of data
- Connect and make dashboards in data visualization tool (e.g., PowerBl, Tableau, QlikView)
- Experience with a BI ETL Tool (e.g., lnformatica)
- Able to update and maintain a preload
- Understand processes, data collection, etc.
- Know SQL & Data Querying (Database) – At least 1 computer coding language experience / background (e.g., SQL, VBA, etc.) at proficient
- Experience working with data, for data cleaning, duplication, and review
- Ability to create and give clear, and concise presentations of projects and trainings
- Ability to understand processes, process flow maps
- Experience with data analytics
