Position Summary
The APAC Established Products Squad (EPS) is a location-agnostic squad composed of members from affiliates throughout the APAC region. The squad is accountable for the management and performance of the dynamic EP portfolio of products in partnered affiliates.
As an EP Disease Area Lead (DAL) you are accountable for the assigned Disease Areas (DA) and associated products performance for the APAC enterprise (all markets except China and Japan).
You are responsible for DA strategies, tactics and execution.
Principle Responsibilities:
As an EP Squad Member:
- Together with other EP squad and network members define short & mid-term EPS outcomes in alignment with EPS vision,long-term outcomes & Roche 2030 vision
- Proactively contribute to the achievement of defined EPS outcomes and linked success metrics
- Actively participate and contribute to the squad practice of self-management & self-authored learning to accelerate growth and foster high-performance culture.
- Proactively share market & customer knowledge adopting defined systems and forums for retention and dissemination
- Partner mindfully with affiliates, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and never compromising their customer and business accountabilities (reputation, trust, license to operate, etc)
- Lead Work Packages through effective communication, scope management, technical expertise, critical thinking and problem-solving.
As a EP Disease Area Lead:
- Accountable for patient and business outcomes for the assigned DA’s
- Develop a robust understanding of different market and customers’ needs leveraging all available sources, including competitive landscape.
- Adapt global DA & product strategy to maximize the APAC opportunity
- Develop and execute creative tactical plans, coaching alliance partners and accelerating a purely digital model of customer engagement.
- Ensure effective and impactful product variable spend which is aligned with EP finance conditions and guardrails
- Assess and track the impact of tactical plans and activities, share learnings and proactively seek continuous improvement
- Provide insights and events to ensure accurate demand planning to avoid over- and under- stocking of products
- Ensure all business activities comply with relevant company SOPs, local Pharma Code, iFPMA, Symphony (and of equivalence) and are of high ethical standards
- Interact with other strategic disease area enablers and/or networks to orchestrate cross brand initiatives and facilitate learning and knowledge transfer (best practice sharing)
- Work closely with access enablers to expand access of EP within specific DA’s where appropriate
- Extend internal and external professional networks to learn from and contribute to best practices
- Contribute to business forecasting events (EDP & BP)
- Support in managing unexpected challenges that can arise in certain markets
- Engage and manage different stakeholders to align on EPS priorities.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time as required by the business

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in the Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Industry, ideally in or across multiple countries
- Thorough understanding of Asia Pacific market place, political, societal, technology trends that may have an impact on Roche business and product positioning
- Strong analytical skills to translate data and market trends into strategic opportunities
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Marketing and ideally at a multi-country level
- Digital marketing and omni-channel customer engagement
- Customer-centric and innovation methodologies (e.g. crazy 8, opposite thinking, design thinking, customer journey mapping,…)
- Highly proficient verbal and written English is essential with good communication skills
