Are you looking for an internship opportunity to apply your passion for commercial real estate, sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies to support national and international client ESG Programs? If so, we have the role for you starting as early as January of 2023 when our next ESG Internship Program kicks off!

RE Tech Advisors is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and passionate Intern to join our growing organization and help serve commercial real estate ESG programs. This position will focus on learning how our organization runs and can be expected to gain valuable insights that can further a candidate’s interest in their chosen career field. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing ESG advisory firm to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future.

This position is based out of our headquarters office in Tysons Corner, VA. We are expecting to hire one intern to work up to 15 hours per week during the spring semester and transition up to 40 hours per week during the summer. The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (strong skills working in Excel preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

Essential Job Functions: (see below for example of language)

  • Perform clerical duties, take notes, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, scan, etc. as needed.
  • Utilize Excel skills for data entry and related tasks.
  • Learn to use ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager tool.
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials.
  • Take notes and memos during meetings.
  • Run general client-related errands.
  • Contribute to documents, drafts, reports, and input data.
  • Research and gather information on a variety of topics including emerging technologies, potential clients, and energy policies.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and updating company calendars.
  • Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks.
  • Update and post supervised social media and website content.
  • Perform all other duties as needed and assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
