English – Ukrainian remote interpretation on child protection

The Child Protection Area of Responsibility within the Global Protection Cluster is the global level forum for coordination and collaboration on Child Protection in humanitarian settings. The group brings together NGOs, UN agencies, academics, donors and other partners under the shared aim of facilitating a more predictable, accountable and effective Child Protection response in complex emergencies, disasters and other humanitarian crises.

Context

The meetings will be related to child protection and humanitarian work in Ukraine.

Task Description

The Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility is seeking the support of four volunteers to provide remote interpretation support in English – Ukrainian for meetings. The remote interpretation support may be consecutive or simultaneous, depending on the specific needs of meetings, and will be discussed with the volunteers before each meeting. The topic of the meetings will be related to child protection, children’s rights and humanitarian work. The volunteers will be asked to start as soon as possible. The specific meeting dates and times will be discussed and agreed with the volunteers. The volunteers will be able to strengthen their knowledge of child protection in emergencies during the process of interpretation. The work of the volunteers is highly valuable and will allow to facilitate communication with Ukrainian-speaking stakeholders.
