KS3 and KS4 English Teacher – SEMH Setting
Your New Company
Hays Education are supporting a school in West Birmingham recruiting a dedicated English Teacher to work with their KS3 and KS4 groups for the Summer Term. This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue an ongoing basis until the end of the academic year. It is a small school with around 50 on roll, that boasts strong leadership and a hardy team of staff that are committed to the development of the children in their care, and who work extremely hard to support each other.
Your new role
You will be working with small groups of KS3 and KS4 pupils who face social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will be responsible for teaching the National English Curriculum, and also GCSE lessons. This includes planning, delivery and assessment of work. You will be supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant in every lesson and will work closely with the leadership of the school in delivering the best possible outcomes for the pupils.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
To be successful for this SEMH Teaching Role, you must have experience working with children with challenging behaviour and must also have experience of delivering English at GCSE level. Experience of Team Teach is desirable but not essential as the school can provide additional training.
