Oxfam is looking for an interpreter to support to our team to conduct interviews with refugees in Przemyśl and help share their stories 5- 7 April 2022 (3 days).

Job summary: The Interpreter will provide in person translation services and interpretation services to facilitate, with accuracy, impartiality and confidentiality, the language needs of Oxfam in Poland in Przemyśl.

Hours and dates: 5 April – 7 April (8 hours per day)

Requirements:

Language Skills: Fluency in spoken English, Ukrainian and/or Russian

Location: Przemyśl, Poland (ideally living local as accommodation and transport costs are not provided).

Education: Interpretation certification preferable, formal education in languages highly desirable

Work Experience: At least 1 year professional interpretation experience desirable but not mandatory

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to build trust with refugees and others we work with
  • Must be a team player, detail oriented and reliable
  • Ability to work successfully with others
