The Enerflex internship offers students a paid opportunity to work in an environment that fosters real-life experiences, explores career options, and applies your education. You will become a part of key management meetings and participate in meaningful projects. This internship will be based in Houston, TX. You will have exposure and the opportunity to broaden your skills through impactful work, mentored relationships, and will gain real world exposure to different projects on the Enerflex team.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Writing, formatting, editing and updating instructions and procedures to be used by project engineers for design processes.
  • Creating, modifying and presenting data from MS Excel spreadsheets used for engineering calculation and business analysis.
  • Assist project engineers in inspecting and documenting completed equipment packages and ensuring that final documentation is accurate and ready for delivery to the customer.
  • Review and research design specifications to determine appropriate materials for use in packaged equipment.
  • Review bills of materials for accuracy and completeness as well as adherence to specifications.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on material requisitions from Fabrication.
  • Assist Project Managers on all projects on most aspects including the job closing process.
  • Use software to enter and modify the Bill of Materials, set up custom items for the purchasing of Engineered items.
  • Supports the fabrication process for new and used packages.
  • Assist Project Managers in reviewing, approving, and verifying Engineering files and parts books are complete for each unit fabricated.

Job Specifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of college coursework completed in a mechanical, process, electrical or chemical engineering field.
  • Minimum of a 3.2 GPA
  • Must be dependable, highly motivated, and self-directed,
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
  • Proactive thinker and self-motivated.
  • Strong time, project, and organizational management skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
