Energy Trading Assistant Specialist
NYK Enerji Ticaret A.Ş. is looking for a Energy Trading Assistant Specialist to join our Istanbul office, which will support further expansion of our Virtual Power Plant operations in TR Power Market
Your Role:
- Oversee NYK’s Virtual Power Plant trading systems in real time, applying risk management principles in the design and implementation of new and proprietary trading strategies, as well as the optimization of existing strategies.
- Build statistical models to improve Virtual Power Plant forecast and Intraday Market Trading methods.
- Become a member of 24/7 intraday shift team and improve the operation.
- Develop trading strategies for short term to intraday.
- Responsible for the Virtual Power Plants strategically, tactically and operationally in Day Ahead Market and Intraday Market processes.
- Develop tools to facilitate Virtual Power Plant operations.
- Increase efficiency and enhance the firm’s operational activities by reviewing and analyzing statistical information and handling our reconciliations.
Your Profile:
- You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computational Finance (or equivalent)
- You demonstrate a strong proficiency with Python or R
- You are capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- You learn quickly and apply new skills effectively
- You prioritize and you are proactive
- You enjoy watching the markets in real-time
- You have exceptional attention to detail and desire to understand issues deeply
- You have an outstanding work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You have superior written and verbal communication skills
- You have proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards.
