General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Non-profit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Job purpose:

Emergency Response Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of comprehensive related campaigns, fundraising and emergency activities in NWS remotely from Turkey, within the GAN’s program framework and in line with GAN’s standards. The ER Assistant will be responsible for the following up the implementation process with full adherence to donors’/contributors’ requirements. Also, He/she will be responsible for communication with other department like media and MEAL to ensure the quality and timely of the implementation as keep coordinate with related clusters/sectors like FSL/SNFI/CCCM …etc sectors. He/she will work with GAN’s Program coordinator and other staff members to identify new opportunities to extend GAN’s fundraising and campaign activities.

Duties & Objectives:

Project Development and implementation:

· Contribute to the development/ revision of best practice guides, manuals, and other technical resources to improve the projects delivery of GAN’s campaigns and emergency activities.

· Coordinate with media team to promote the activities and prepare media plans and materials.

· Draft and develop concept note and proposals.

· Assist the implementation of the projects and fundraising related activities ensuring timeliness and delivery according to the activity plan and results in the framework,

· Ensure that the projects’ activities adhere to GAN’s protection approach, best practices and to all internal policies and procedures.

· Work with project field team and link with program coordinator on progress and encountered challenges.

· Ensure that the implementation of projects’ activities is in line with the logical framework, MEAL plan and ensure regular analysis and reporting on programme data.

· Contribute to team capacity building and enhance team members technical capacity.

· In corporation with GAN human resources, participating in field project staff performance appraisal, and identifying required skills and capacity development.

Reporting:

· Report all project’s activities with donors’/contributors’ deadline with adherence to requirements and reporting formats.

· Report immediately all projects’ security challenges and ensure proper incident reports are submitted.

· Participate in the relevant cluster, and relevant technical working group reports, data collection and reporting project’s activities via 4Ws submission.

Other

· Adhere fully to the commitments and rules of GAN’s Code of Conduct

· Support GAN team in the safety and security field.

Experience and qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in statistics, Economic development, Business administration or related field.

· At least 3 years of proven work experience within the field of fundraising and emergency project management.

· Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties and external stakeholders.

· Very good reporting skills.

· Sound judgement and ability to make impartial recommendations.

· Very good computer skills including MS office.

· Excellent English language skills (spoken, written, and reading)

· Hard-working, proactive, and able to priorities and delegate a demanding workload.
