HI response to the conflict and its regional impact
HI has deployed two teams in the region, with one team deploying to Ukraine and a second team leading an assessment in neighbouring countries receiving refugees. The main objectives will be to assess more deeply the current context & environment, identify potential operational partners, meet with key relevant stakeholders on the ground and asses the overall needs of the population, and requirement to start operations. HI is therefore preparing to be able to deploy quickly a large-scale multi sectoral humanitarian response.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Emergency Logistics Manager will be responsible to provide adequate logistics implementation and management for the emergency response, in the respect of the HI procedures and donors requirements:

• Opening bases

• General Logistics:

o Premises Management (office, guest houses, warehouses and its related areas);

o Equipment Management;

o Communication and IT management;

o Fleet/Transport and Movements Management;

• Supply Chain and Procurement Management

• Logistics administration

• Security

• Reporting to the coordination

PROFILE SOUGHT :

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in logistics

• Professional experience of 5 years minimum in a logistics position, including at least three year as field logistician in emergency setting with an INGO, Work experience with several departments, sites and countries

• Practices on training design, planning and roll-out

• Project planning, reporting and processes experience

• Practices on change management

• Pack Office

• Command of English

• Being capable of helping team members to progress: developing his/her staff‘s ability to work autonomously

•Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution
• Repatriation insurance paid by HI

• Salary from 2800 € gross/month upon experience

• Perdiem: 550€ net per month

• Hardship allowance: 550€ net per month

• Paid leaves: 25 days per year

• R&R: every 8 weeks

• Unaccompanied position

• Housing: taken in charge by HI
