Electrical Test Technician

Paragon is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join our team. The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for performing tests and inspections of a wide variety of electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of complex electrical components
• Working with high current and high voltage
• Design, fabricate and implement test set ups to meet testing requirements
• Perform failure analysis of various components
• Dedication/qualification of commercially available components for safety related applications in nuclear utilities
• Testing and troubleshooting with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, wave generators and assorted test equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks
• Additional duties and tasks assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 5 years of prior experience in electro-mechanical testing required
• Must be able to communicate effectively across all functions the organization
• Must have a high attention to detail with good documentation skills, and able to write legibly
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Has an electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Follow safety procedures
• Has time management, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in basic computer skills. (File Organization, Email, etc.)
• Proficiency in using the following equipment: Meters, Variacs, Power Supplies, Ductors, Megger, Hi-pot, Calipers and tools
