Job Description

This is an on-site/lab-centric electrical lab engineer position.

Opportunity to design test equipment & optimize power and performance for the next generation of AR/VRdevices.

Looking for a qualified candidate to support our project for 12+ months. Temporary contract will be used to evaluate performance, with a possibility to extend.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with power test/measure methodologies, expertise in using DAQs and Oscilloscopes, familiarity with interpreting PCB schematics and design tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Instrument boards for power measurements at varying granularities (interpret schematics, rework/solder as needed)
  • Measure, process, and report power usage of workloads for different platforms
  • Enhance automation framework for collecting power/performance KPIs
  • Analyze performance and power metrics & provide recommendations
  • Correlate power measurements against expectations

Skills

  • 3+ years hands-on experiences with lab equipments like DAQs, Oscilloscopes, thermal chambers
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with fine-point soldering and minor PCB rework
  • 3+ years experience with PCB design tools and familiarity with PCB schematic
  • 3+ years experience with linux/Android, shell/bash, python programming, NI labview
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability
  • Team player and detail oriented
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
  • Proven ability to take open ended problems & break down into methodical steps to completion
