JAKTOOL is looking for an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for all phases of the project life cycle This role works closely with engineering and account management to qualify and execute design inputs, as well as manage external suppliers, vendors, sub-contractors, and internal resources within JAKTOOL.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware and firmware development efforts of microcontroller-based devices
  • Lead software development efforts including LabVIEW, VBA, and Android/iOS apps
  • Design and produce prototype PCB assemblies to exacting quality standards
  • Perform/oversee testing and validation of products to confirm product function, failure mode and life expectancy.
  • Project Management; coordinate project schedule with customers, supply chain, internal resources, and supervisors
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, interface with the team as needed and drive projects to completion.
  • Participate and/or host product development and design review meetings
  • Support brainstorming of new, creative product concepts and ideas
  • Develop a broad knowledge base of technologies used in the markets served and JAKTOOL’s capabilities to support sales

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineer
  • 3 or more years relevant experience

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout application (Altium, KiCAD, OrCAD, Eagle)
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (C/C++, Python, etc.)
  • Possess a high degree of hands-on aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in microcontroller programming and wireless communication is preferred
  • Software and/or Android app development is a plus
