QinetiQ is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our sustaining engineering team to provide support to our operations team by documenting current systems and configurations and ensure system updates are received and implemented.

Your Contribution to the Mission:

  • Review failures in conjunction with our failure analysis lead to look for any failure trends to suggest for rework.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with customer applications teams.
  • Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during deployment.
  • Provide communication, ensuring that managers, team members, stakeholders within the organization, and clients are kept informed of current status of projects.
  • Research new or alternative technologies, document findings, conduct pilots and evaluate multiple vendors, make recommendations, and develop business cases to justify the investment.
  • Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Create, maintain, and update SOPs and other procedural documents.

To Land This Job, You Need:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Computer Engineering with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Two to three years experience integrating military electrical and electronics systems
  • Able to work through electrical, network, & configuration of system components.
  • Be able to read, redline and produce EE drawings in modern CAD software
  • Participate in CM/CCB process to evaluate baseline programs and ECP/ECRs.
  • Be able to identify issues with integrated electronic systems and develop field bulletins and solutions for deployed systems world-wide.
  • Knowledge and experience with DOD, SAE, IEEE, and/or IPC standards
