**Educational Content Manager Location: UK Flexible Contract type: Permanent Hours per week: 35 Salary: £30,000 – £33,700 per annum depending on experience (plus £3,344 Inner London Weighting allowance if applicable)

About this opportunity**

The Educational Content Manager will be responsible for the development, delivery, quality and continuous improvement of the educational content across Community Education’s diverse range of education products. You will act as the point of authority for learning design within the remit of Community Education and be responsible for establishing best practice and aiding ongoing team development.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will lead the content t eam by managing the capacity, ensuring clarity and alignment on goals and working in-line with product prioritisation, encouraging a user-centred culture, where Content Developers constantly strive to understand users’ problems and create educational content that achieves its learning objectives.

You will support Content Developers to write content briefs and to develop and deliver educational content across the team’s diverse range of education products and services while maintaining a pool of freelancer Content Developers to ensure content can be delivered on time and to a high quality, which may include writing content briefs.

Acting as the point of contact for creating educational content you will ensure supporting materials are researched, designed and published in the most accessible format while liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach to delivering content in line with education standards, brand guidelines and the humanitarian principles of the British Red Cross.

This role might be for you if…

  • You have experience developing and designing education content for different audiences along with writing/adapting resources as well as coordinating others to do this.
  • You have excellent leadership skills, including people management and are able to manage internal and external stakeholder requirements while prioritising their needs.
  • You can demonstrate an understanding of learning design and how to apply pedagogies in practice along with developing educationally sound content.
  • You have Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to address multiple projects and tasks while adhering to project schedules and deadlines and are able to use audience insight and educational research to make decisions on content development.
