Education Project Manager Myanmar (National Position)

NRC is looking for an Education Project Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be responsible for the implementation of the Education project portfolio in the North-East.

What You Will Do

  • Education portfolio management (efficient use of financial resources in line with strategies/proposal/ donor requirements; timely and accurate monitoring and evaluation, indicator tracking, and donor reporting; and development of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reporting).
  • Programme Implementation (project implementation; budget management; complimentary programming with other thematic areas; ensuring monitoring and evaluation; continuous improvement and lessons learnt; providing technical direction; ensuring quality programming; and compliance with reporting).
  • Team Management (provision of technical advice, skills transfer, and capacity building).
  • Partnership Management (liaising and collaborating with authorities and stakeholders; represent the organization in external coordination forums/clusters/working groups; identify new partners; build and maintain relationships; support in objectives, compliance, and programme quality; provide technical advice; and capacity building).

What You Will Bring

  • Senior-level project implementation experience position in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Technical Education thematic area expertise.
  • Youth programmes and responses, and emergency education experience.
  • Budget management proficiency.
  • Complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • North-East Myanmar context exposure and knowledge.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.

  • 12-month contract duration.
  • 40% travel, approximately.
