The Villars Institute

The Villars Institute is a Swiss non-profit foundation focused on accelerating the transition to a Net Zero and Nature Positive economy through interdisciplinary research and intergenerational collaboration. It is based in Villars-sur-Ollon in Canton Vaud but follows a hybrid working model that supports a blend of in-office, remote, and on-the-go working.

The Villars Institute works with closely with experts, educators and entrepreneurs from around the world to develop curriculum and courses on systems leadership and systemic entrepreneurship. The Villars Institute is also the secretariat of the Global Learning Council which aims to advance the use of science and technology to improve the outcomes for learners of all ages and backgrounds around the world.

The intern will provide support  for both the Villars Institute’s and the Global Learning Council’s programming and educational activities.

The Role

We are looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial person to assist in coordinating the Global Learning Council’s activities and assist in the development, enrolment and delivery of the Villars Institute’s learning programs of the Villars Institute.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the field of education and learning, and using online learning platforms

Requirements

  • Current enrolment in or recent graduate of a relevant educational program.
  • Swiss nationality or Swiss working Permit.

 

Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Coordinator for the Global Learning Council by:
  • Assisting in organizing all GLC activities and projects, including GLC Hackathons, Post-doc Projects and CERN internships.
  • Contributing to the planning and execution of the GLC Annual Meeting (24-25 June) in conjunction with the Villars Institute Symposium (26-28 June).
  • Handling daily administrative tasks related to GLC activities and projects.
  • Maintaining organized records and documentation for efficient project management.
  • Support the Villars Institute online learning programs by:
  • Supporting the administration and promotion of the Villars Institute online courses.
  • Supporting the enrollment and assessment of online students.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Villars Intensive Program by:
  • Supporting  in the planning, development, outreach and enrolment of a new five-day residential learning program on “ecopreneurship”.
  • Assisting in organizing the logistics, engagement and onboarding of program experts and facilitators, and ensuring a seamless learning experience for all.

Job Type

6 months to 1 year paid internship, hybrid working.
