GoodRx

GoodRx is America’s healthcare marketplace. Each month, millions of people visit goodrx.com to find reliable health information and discounts for their healthcare — and we’ve helped people save $35 billion since 2011. We provide prescription discounts that are accepted at more than 70,000 pharmacies in the U.S., as well as telehealth services including doctor visits and lab tests. Our services have been positively reviewed by Good Morning America, The New York Times, NBC News, AARP, and many others.

Our goal is to help Americans find convenient and affordable healthcare. We offer solutions for consumers, employers, health plans, and anyone else who shares our desire to provide affordable prescriptions to all Americans.

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company and industry. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of the best and brightest from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has a seat at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunities to excel.

With that said, research shows that women and other underrepresented groups apply only if they meet 100% of the criteria. GoodRx is committed to leveling the playing field, and we encourage women, people of color, those in the LGBTQ+ communities, and Veterans to apply for positions even if they don’t necessarily check every box outlined in the job description. Please still get in touch – we’d love to connect and see if you could be good for the role!

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core values at our publication. We aim to both further diversify our staff, as well as to provide the best health information for a wide variety of underserved groups. Your participation in our internship program could help us to enrich our team, as well as to help to provoke new areas of coverage in our health content.

We are a publication that covers consumer healthcare in a clear, concise, and well-researched way that facilitates better decision-making. Our coverage areas include Clinical, Pharmacy, Health Personal Finance, Health Advocacy, Well-being, Pet Health, and Patient Experiences. Affordability and accessibility are core issues for us–and we routinely cover cost and insurance coverage, as well as the social determinants of health.

As part of our process, we do extensive fact-checking, reference formatting, and quality assurance work. This internship will primarily be oriented around these tasks but will also offer additional opportunities to learn about various aspects of health publishing–including the potential to get a few byline opportunities of your own. Our previous interns have copy-edited articles, interviewed patients , written health advocacy and pet health pieces, and more!

Our team includes medical and pharmacy editors who are licensed physicians and pharmacists, as well as experienced journalists and content creators. We also work closely with our Research Group, which includes health economists who produce original published research in tandem with academics that is routinely published in peer-reviewed journals.

We would love to teach you about publishing–and to learn more about your interests, skills, and priorities. Join us!
