Responsibilities
Our department conducts studies on the toxicological effect of chemicals. The studies are carried out in vitro and in vivo in accordance with international test regulations and the GLP guidelines. (Eco)toxicological studies are also outsourced and our Contract Management team ensures that these are performed with the highest quality as well as in accordance with the GLP and test guidelines.
- You will scientifically monitor aquatic or terrestrial ecotoxicological studies performed at contract research institutes.
- You will ensure the adherence to international regulatory guidelines (e.g. OECD Guidelines) as well as scientific evaluation and interpretation of the data during the course of the studies.
- Besides, you will review study plans, data and study reports.
- You will coordinate the scientific discussions between the sponsor and the contract research institute.
- Last but not least, you will provide scientific expertise in the field of ecotoxicology through a continuous exchange with sponsors as well as colleagues and you will work in scientific projects whenever possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in life sciences or an equivalent qualification
- experience with aquatic and/or terrestrial toxicological studies as well as familiar with toxicological studies under GLP conditions
- knowledge of basic toxicology, laboratory animal science and animal welfare
- very good oral and written communication skills in English
- familiar with standard IT applications
- enjoy working in interdisciplinary collaborations as well as team spirit
