eCommerce Portfolio Manager

We have an exiting role to join our eCommerce Portfolio team!

The eCommerce portfolio function manages a unique programme within Asda that aims to expand the breath of business model Asda uses to connect with customers. From range extensions to partnerships orto entirely new services, in this role you will manage the end to end implementation of the portfolio projects. You will be responsible for researching the market and proposing new business opportunities, and you will work cross-functionally with internal teams as well as with external partners the bring projects to life

On This Role You Will

• Own the integration of third party businesses to create a great customer experience while increasing the number of online products and services offered by Asda
• Work with product, UX, tech, and third parties to bring strategic partnerships to life
• Carry out research across the eCommerce industry in the look for new business opportunities
• Partner with the analytics team to ensure the right metrics for each initiative are being measured
• Ownership of the development roadmap for portfolio initiatives– acting as the business owner in product design, development, delivery, and post implementation support
• Managing portfolio projects delivery – owning the prioritisation of the roadmap, as well as seeing through to delivery, managing obstacles and risks along the way
• Recruit and Develop your team of direct report(s) as the Portfolio function grows
• Write business cases with the customer and financial results as the centre of focus

Do you have the essential skills and experience required?

• eCommerce experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cross functionally across various departments
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies and practices
• Ability to influence stakeholders across eCommerce disciplines
• Commercial awareness and experience in business cases
• Experience working with external partners
